Brenda’s current project is the musical, “A Time to Live”. The story is inspired by the ancient story of Ruth, who despite the odds stacked against her religiously and culturally, survived to be the ancestress of the royal line of King David. Ruth is the only non-Jewish woman with a book of the Bible named after her.  The theme of “A Time to Live” is that hope is stronger than grief and God’s faithful (or to use a Jewish term ‘hesed’) love can be contagious – something our world needs today. The music is ‘Prince of Egypt’ meets ‘Fiddler on the Roof’. It was produced in 2017 with six performances and an audience of 900. Children were especially excited about the show, but it touched hearts of all ages.  Parts of the show have been presented three times in New York at Theater Resources Unlimited to panels of Broadway experts with excellent feedback. Kathleen Lyndon (book) and Brenda Giordano (music & lyrics) have worked with New York dramaturge, Cate Cammarata, with Create Theater, to revise the show. Two readings with the revisions were held on June 4th and 5th, 2022, in the Seattle, Washington area.

Brenda lives in Bellevue, Washington.

She is a member of ASCAP, the Dramatist Guild (Associate), American Association of Community Theater, and Experts Theater Company, part of CreateTheater.
